Water Sports and Adventures
The clear, warm waters of the Mediterranean Sea and the numerous beaches around Cabo Roig offer lots of possibilities for sailng, jet skiing, windsurfing, kitesurfing, water skiing, wake boarding, canoeing and kayaking, and for the less skilful banana boat and doughnut rides!
El Convento is perfectly located near the Cabo Roig Marina where you will find Mar Azul sailing school providing lessons and rentals in all things connected to water sports and adventures.
There are also a number of water parks in the region of Alicante and Murcia surrounding Cabo Roig.




Water Sports
Waterskiing
Waterskiing is a popular sport in Costa Brava area of Cabo Roig. Visitors can take professional lessons, rent a boat, or have a professional boat driver take one or more people on the water.
Snorkeling & Diving
There are several natural and artificial reefs that are home to fish and marine-life. You may choose to snorkel, which requires a minimal amount of equipment or choose to scuba dive in any one of many dive sites located near Costa Brava.
For Scubadiving, there are courses available under the supervision of PADI qualified instructors in Playa Flamenca at Dive Costa Blanca. Advanced divers can take trips to several wrecks and marine marine reserves who offer escorted dive trips from shore, boat diving and night diving.
Jet Skiing
Jet Ski Torrevieja give you the chance to rent a jet ski with or without qualifications. Their qualified instructors will accompany you and show you the hidden corners of the famous Costa Blanca. They offer wetsuits at no additional cost as they want you to enjoy browsing on the jet ski with freedom to feel the air on your face and the power of their bikes.
Windsurfing & Dinghies
Summer winds in the area are mostly thermals, coming up around midday, peaking between 4pm and 6pm in the afternoon and dying away in the evening. The Mar Azul sailing school, run by Stella Maris from the marina in Cabo Roig offers lessons on windsurfing, dinghy sailing, kayaks, banana boats and pedalos.
Water Parks
La Quesada Water Park
La Quesada is only a short drive from El Convento.
This a family park where you can spend an amusing and refreshing day while you enjoy its fully-equipped water facilities (children and adults slides, soft tracks and "kamikazes" for the most daring, several swimming pools, restaurant, etc.) This is quieter in high season.
Aquopolis
In Torrevieja is the Aquopolis Water Park that is open during high season. Aquopolis is a great day out for all the family. It has Rapids, Kamikaze & Zig Zag water slides. Wave Pool, Swimming Pools & Infants Pool. Jacuzzi, Mini Golf, Restaurant, Cafeteria & lots more.
AquaPark Flamingo Torrevieja
Aquapark Flamingo is smaller than Aquopolis but is definitely worth a visit. It is good value for money (cheaper than Aquapolis) and is very interesting when visiting with young children who don’t like big slides. There are free sun beds for when you want to rest for moment of all that water fun.
AquaPark Rojales
Aquapark Rojales is situated in a natural valling within Alicante. In the 21,000spm it occupiesm there are a range of attractions spread throughout with rest areas located conviently to take a break from the hours of possible fun while spending time at the unforgettable water park.
